Сетевой номер, по которому мобильная станция может быть однозначно идентифицирована в другой сети. Номер MIN обычно отличается от серийного номера (ESN), который присваивается заводом-изготовителем. Чтобы предотвратить несанкционированный доступ MIN и ESN могут контролироваться электронным способом.
